Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Balanced Lancaster Insulation Company, lancasterinsulationcompany.com, hello@lancasterinsulationcompany.com
Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you use this website, ask Balanced Lancaster Insulation Company for an estimate, or hire us for work at your home or business. By doing any of those things, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
When a written estimate, proposal or contract for your job says something different from these terms, the signed document for your job controls. Everything else here still applies.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor based in Lancaster, CA, and we work in Lancaster and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, insulation removal, air sealing and vapor barriers. You can see the full list on our home page.
The information on this site is general. It explains how the work usually goes, but every house is different, so it isn't advice for your specific home. What we'll actually do on your job is what's written in your estimate.
We can change, add or stop offering a service at any time. Listing a city on this site doesn't mean we'll take every job there, and leaving a city off doesn't mean we won't.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, such as how much insulation is already in your attic, how easy the space is to reach, and the material you choose.
Some things only show up once the job is open, like old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, damaged framing, or gaps we couldn't see from the hatch. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop, show you, and get your approval before doing more. We won't add charges for extra work you didn't approve.
Prices in an estimate are good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We set a start date once you approve the estimate. Weather, material delays, illness or an earlier job running long can push a date back. When that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know and give you a new date.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work areas, including the attic hatch, crawl space and a place to park and run equipment, and to keep children and pets out of those areas while we work. Some materials, spray foam in particular, need everyone out of the house for a set time after it's applied. We'll tell you before the job when you need to leave and when it's safe to come back, and you agree to follow that.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call or message us as early as you can. Any cancellation charge or deposit rule for your job is written on your estimate or contract. If materials were special-ordered for your job and can't be returned, you may be responsible for their cost.
Payment
The payment schedule for your job, including any deposit and when the balance is due, is written on your estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
We'll tell you which payment methods we accept before the job starts. If a payment is late or returned, we may charge the late fees or returned-payment fees written on your invoice, and we may pause work until the account is current. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur to collect an unpaid balance, to the extent California law allows.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job is on your contract, and its terms control what's covered and for how long.
Insulation products also carry the maker's own warranty, which is between you and the maker. We'll pass along any warranty paperwork we receive.
Our guarantee doesn't cover problems caused by things outside our work, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, other trades disturbing the insulation, changes you make to the house later, or conditions we told you about and you chose not to fix.
Insulation and air sealing usually make a house more comfortable and can lower the power bill, but how much depends on your house, your equipment and how you use it. We don't promise a specific temperature, comfort level or energy savings. Except for the guarantee above and any written warranty, our services and this website are provided as is, and we disclaim other warranties to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
We carry insurance, and we're responsible for damage our crew causes through our own negligence while working at your property. Please point out fragile items, hidden wiring, or anything in the attic or crawl space we should know about before we start.
To the extent California law allows, Balanced Lancaster Insulation Company isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income, lost use of your property, or the cost of staying somewhere else. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Using this website
You can browse this site and contact us through it for your own use. Please don't copy its content for commercial use, try to break or overload it, or send anything unlawful through our forms.
Our contact form is run by an outside form service, and some pages may link to other sites. We're not responsible for the content or practices of those outside sites.
Resolving a disagreement
If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, call us first. Most problems get fixed with a conversation and a visit, and we'd much rather fix it than argue about it.
If we can't settle it that way within 30 days, either of us may suggest mediation with a neutral mediator before going to court, with the cost shared equally. Either of us may still use small claims court for a dispute that qualifies.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any lawsuit about them will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page when you book a job is the one that applies to that job, and the date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

If you have a question about these terms or a job, call us at (661) 952-4049 or send us a note through our contact page. We reply within 1 business day. You can learn more about who we are on our about page.
